These goods are below market value and do not exist. The fraudsters will request your card details via the website; however the purchaser will then receive an email stating the payment failed and they must pay via bank transfer. The fraudsters entice the purchaser and reassure them it is a legitimate purchase by using the widely recognised Trusted Shop Trustmark. The fraudsters are using the Trustmark fraudulently and have not been certified by Trusted Shops and therefore the purchaser is not covered by the Trusted Shop money-back guarantee. Protect yourself: Check the authenticity of the websites before making any purchases. Conduct a ‘whois’ search on the website which will identify when the website has been created, be wary of newly formed domains. A big thank you all the helpers for the last year and to those that have agreed to help for the next year. If you have seen the new green cabinet in Chard Road, opposite Applefield Road you may have wondered if it means we now have faster broadband in Drimpton - Yes we do. | Submitted by: andrew On: 6/11/2015 at: 09:37 Location: Drimpton Flooding - November 5th Yesterday was a day of constant rain and unsurprisingly the roadway by the bridge between Bridge Farm and Troutbeck flooded. This is not caused by the stream overflowing but by the failure of the drains along Chard Road on the farm side of the bridge. The blue pipe carrying the culverted water from the ditch between Spearmead and Brookfield, which issues by the bridge, was unable to disgorge once the stream level covered its exit. This caused the pipe to back up until the ditch water (together with that from some roadside drains) could no longer enter the stream and ended up emptying over the roadway. This surface water together with surface water from Burstock Lane had nowhere to go. The result was floodwater across the complete roadway. It was a foot deep (30cms) by the kerb nearer the stream. Water was up against the wall opposite and entered the farm entry. Water was lapping against the boundary of the garden of Troutbeck. The problem became worse when vehicles passed through without taking due care and causing backwash. Villagers did their best to clear some drain entryways and slow traffic – and put our flood warning signs. In the previous two weeks representatives from Dorset CC and Highways had visited the site and recognised the various issues involved. This includes the complete failure of the separate 'lidded' drain nearest the bridge to function. The representative from Highways was called during the flooding incident and came to see it at its worst. He also took photographs for the record. He repeated that action was being planned to improve the situation. We will see... |
